New Patient Welcome letter

Dear New Patient,

Welcome! Thank you so much for your interest in Katy Family Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (KFAHM). At KFAHM we do our best in every way possible to assure that you receive the best quality care. We want you to know that we are trained to make sure that our treatment plan always meets the highest standards and any questions you have about you care are answered in a way that you can understand.

When you arrive for your first acupuncture appointment, you will be asked to complete a comprehensive New Patient form.  This form asks questions about your current state of health, past illnesses, and family history.  These questions are important because the holistic approach of Oriental medicine takes everything into account.  Your current symptoms may not seem related to past health issues, but our bodies are complex landscapes and everything that happens to them leaves its mark.

After reviewing your intake form, we will discuss your condition and examine your pulse and tongue, which are two of the basic diagnostic methods of Oriental medicine and are used to plan your treatment. The specific acupuncture points chosen will depend on your personal signs and condition. Once the sterile, one-time use needles are inserted, you will lay comfortably for 30 minutes with the needles in place with a heat lamp warming your body. Many people find acupuncture treatment deeply relaxing, and it is not uncommon for patients to fall asleep during this time.

If you would like to fill out our forms for new patient prior to your appointment, you may Click Here, and download the forms at your convenience, and bring in the completed forms with you to your first appointment.

If you need additional information please call or email us!

Again, welcome to KFAHM. You have taken an important step on the road to more vibrant health.

We look forward to serving you.

Yours sincerely,

The safe and painless insertion of the needles can unblock the obstruction and balance Qi where it has become unbalanced. Once this is done, Qi can freely circulate throughout the body, providing adequate nourishment to cells, organs, glands, tissues and muscles. This can eliminate pain and restore balance and harmony, as well as the body's ability to heal itself
